Elise Morgan wins 2013 AAOS Award

Amira Hussein wins ASBMR poster competition

Amira Hussein’s poster presentation “Predictions of Vertebral Strength using QCT and Intra-Vertebral Heterogeneity in Density vs. DXA” won a Presidential Poster Competition award at the recent annual meeting of the American Society for Bone and Mineral Research.  The award is given to junior investigators based on the “quality of their discussions [with the judges] and the data embodied in their posters.” The ASMBR meeting is attended by ~5000 US and international researchers.

Daniel Bellin wins DoD Fellowship

Daniel Bellin, an undergraduate in the lab since 2007, has won a DoD National Science and Engineering Graduate Fellowship.  He will pursue his Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering at Columbia University beginning this fall.

Karen Chien wins NSF fellowship

Karen Chien, an undergraduate in the laboratory since 2005, has won an NSF Graduate Research Fellowship.  She will pursue her Ph.D. in Materials Science and Engineering at Northwestern University beginning this fall.
