Many students at Metropolitan College seek to combine courses
from several disciplines that relate to a central theme, or to acquire specific, job-related skills. To meet the needs of these students, the College offers Certificates of Completion in many fields.

Certificates of Completion are open to both degree candidates and non-degree students. Certificate program courses normally count toward completion of undergraduate degree requirements. Certificates of Completion are intended to broaden and enrich the education of students beyond their area of major concentration.

Students should apply for participation in a certificate program prior to completion of a second course required for that program. Students must receive grades of C or higher in all certificate courses. Normally, a transfer of credit from other educational institutions is not accepted toward a Certificate of Completion. Students should complete certificate requirements within two years of initial enrollment.

Students who have completed the requirements for a Certificate of Completion should apply to receive a certificate from the department program office.

Students may receive further information about Certificate of Completion programs by contacting the program coordinator at the listed number.
