Boston University Academy to Host Culinary Tasting Event & Auction, A Taste of BUA

(Boston) – Boston University Academy (BUA) will hold its 11th annual benefit auction A Taste of BUA at 6:30 PM on Friday, April 23. The event will be hosted by NECN’s TV Diner personality Billy Costa and will include both live and silent auctions. Guests will enjoy food samples from area restaurants including Catering on the Charles, Capital Grille, Not Your Average Joe’s, Eastern Standard, When Pigs Fly, Gourmet Caterers Culinary Inspirations, West End Johnnie’s and Tabrizi Bakery. A Taste of BUA will be held in Boston University’s celebrated 808 Gallery (808 Commonwealth Avenue, Boston).

The A Taste of BUA auctions will feature dozens of entries donated by businesses, parents and faculty members. Auction items will include exotic vacation packages, tickets to sporting events and concerts, stays at luxurious hotels, and gift cards for area merchants. Tickets for A Taste of BUA can be purchased for $75 per person by contacting Nicole White at (617) 358-2493. All proceeds generated by the auction will directly benefit financial aid assistance for qualified students enrolling at Boston University Academy.

Boston University Academy is a small, day school for students in grades 9 through 12. Founded in 1993, the Academy offers a “ceilingless” educational experience, one in which students’ zeal for learning takes them as far as they are capable. Academy students may begin taking courses at Boston University in their junior year, earning college credit in up to twelve courses by graduation.
