Boston Medical Center, Boston University School of Medicine Appoint New Pulmonologist

(Boston)–Boston resident Karin Sloan, M.D., has been appointed to the position of attending physician in the Department of Pulmonary and Critical Care and medical director of the Pulmonary Rehabilitation Program at Boston Medical Center (BMC). She will be recommended for assistant professor of medicine at Boston University School of Medicine (BUSM).

Sloan received her medical degree from Dartmouth Medical School, Hanover, N.H., and completed her internal medicine residency at Yale-New Haven Hospital in Connecticut.

Sloan’s clinical expertise is in general pulmonary and critical care medicine as well as dyspnea, which is difficult or labored breathing. Dyspnea often is a sign of a serious disease of the airway, lungs or heart. Prior to her appointments, Sloan completed a pulmonary and critical care fellowship at Boston Medical Center.
