(Boston) – Boston University Goldman School of Dental Medicine (BUGSDM) students who belong to the School’s chapter of the American Student Dental Association (ASDA) are making the holidays more joyful for Boston children in need this year.

BU ASDA is collecting donations of new, unwrapped toys for children newborn to age 10 to be distributed this holiday season through Toys for Tots, the U.S. Marine Corps’ annual holiday toy drive.

BU ASDA Fundraising Co-chair Jason Joseph DMD 10 suggested the collection to the ASDA board. “I thought it was a great idea to start this drive and BU ASDA is supporting me 100 percent,” Joseph says.

Donations will be accepted December 1 to December 12 in the sixth floor patient treatment center of the School, located at 100 East Newton Street, Boston.

You do not need to be a member of the BUGSDM or even BU community to help. BU ASDA invites anyone in the area to drop off a toy on the School’s sixth floor. For more information, email buasda@bu.edu.

The mission of Boston University Goldman School of Dental Medicine is to provide excellent education to dental professionals throughout their careers; to shape the future of dental medicine and dental education through research; to offer excellent health care services to the community; to participate in community activities; and to foster a respectful and supportive environment.
