Los Angeles – Boston University Los Angeles Internship Program (BULA) has collaborated with DV411, Inc. to create the first annual benefit for the BULA Internship Program’s Writer in Hollywood scholarship. The event, Comedy in a Digital Age, will take place on Tuesday, October 16 at the Hollywood Improv in Los Angeles, CA. “Boston University is planning to take over Hollywood one laugh at a time!” remarks Robert Shampain, Director, BULA Graduate Program. “This event is a great example – bringing together five incredibly talented and funny BU alums to perform for an audience of BU alums and fans with ties to all aspects of Hollywood, to benefit a scholarship fund for talented young comedy writers.”
This comedy showcase features actor Jason Alexander, actor, director, producer; comedian Bruce Fine, who was a finalist on NBC’s Last Comic Standing and serves as a writer/producer for Wayans Brothers Productions; actor Jamie Kaler, now appearing in the second season of TBS’s hit series My Boys; actor Elon Gold, who was a regular guest on the Dana Carvey Show and most recently appeared in the Fox sitcom Stacked; and comedian Jeffrey Ross, who frequently performs at celebrity roasts for Comedy Central and the New York Friars’ Club.
