(Boston, Mass.) — Successful leaders across all fields of the communication industry — film, television, public relations, advertising, marketing, and print and broadcast journalism — have been named as new members of the Boston University College of Communication’s 2004 Dean’s Advisory Board. Chaired by Les Schupak, managing partner at KCSA Public Relations in New York, the Advisory Board will work together with Dean John J. Schulz to address issues facing the College and its growing needs. The Board will also be involved in establishing and achieving long-term strategic goals for the College.

The Advisory Board comprises three regional groups in which 60 members serve. Board members are experienced leaders in their fields and will contribute to the improvement of the College, offering their knowledge, experience and insight.

As the first school to award college degrees in 1947 as the School of Public Relations, Boston University’s College of Communication has grown and serves its students in three distinct areas of Journalism, Film and Television, Mass Communication, Advertising and Public Relations. The College, dedicated to providing the best possible hands-on training in the respective industries, strong writing and speaking skill, and with a strong liberal arts foundation, is the fourth in undergraduate enrollment in the nation.

Boston University is the nation’s fourth largest independent University with more than 29,000 students enrolled in its 17 Schools and Colleges.
