(Boston, Mass.) — The bidding will begin Saturday, April 24, at 7 p.m. when Boston University Academy starts off its Fifth Annual Benefit Auction 2004 with the bang of a gavel. Presented by the Boston University Academy Parents’ Association, the auction will benefit the Academy’s scholarship programs. The event will include a silent auction, a live auction, live entertainment, and refreshments.

Guests may bid for a wide range of items, from a one-week getaway in Stowe, Vermont to a one-year family membership at the Boston Athenaeum. In between, the auction will offer such items as Sunday brunch for two at the Ritz Carlton Hotel in Boston and a round-trip airplane trip for four to any destination within 100 nautical miles of Boston. French table linen, handmade onyx jewelry, Persian rugs, Red Sox tickets, and the privilege of being headmaster-for-a-day at the Academy are some of the other items available to guests with winning bids.

Tickets for the auction must be purchased in advance. For further information or to purchase a ticket, please contact Eunice Browne at 617-353-9000.
