Manuel Costa Joins Boston University’s School Of Hospitality Administration Advisory Board
(Boston, Mass.) — Manuel Costa, president and CEO of Costa Fruit & Produce, was named to Boston University’s School of Hospitality Administration Advisory Board. The Advisory Board consists of alumni and friends who provide mentoring and networking opportunities for students. The board members also speak in classes and offer curriculum recommendations to the administration.
“This is a wonderful opportunity to give back to an industry that has done so much for us. It is also one way of expressing our gratitude to Boston University, a customer we’ve had a very long and productive relationship with,” says Costa.
Costa Fruit & Produce, a privately-owned company based in Boston, Mass., has been a leader in wholesale foodservice distribution and manufacturing for more than fifty years.
In 2000, Costa was inducted into the National Restaurant Association’s Hall of Fame and he also accepted the prestigious ID Magazine’s “Innovator of the Year” award on behalf of Costa Fruit & Produce. Costa graduated from BU’s College of Arts and Sciences in 1974. He currently resides in Winchester, Massachusetts.
