BOSTON, MA — An auction and reception will be held at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday, November 14, at the Omni Parker House to establish a memorial honoring two Boston University School of Hospitality Administration (SHA) alumnae who perished in the 9/11 attacks in New York City.

A memorial within the School’s new site on the BU campus will be dedicated to Lisa Frost, the Schools ’01 valedictorian who was on United Flight 175, and ’92 graduate Heather Ho, who was executive pastry chef at the Windows on the World restaurant atop the World Trade Center. The $50-a-head auction also benefits the Lisa Frost Memorial Scholarship Fund for promising SHA students.

Led by a worldwide network of alumni who are now professionals in the hospitality industry, nearly 100 hotels, restaurants, and merchants have contributed to the auction. Donated items include celebrity memorabilia autographed by Nomar Garciaparra, Elvis Costello, Bill Rodgers, and Mike Eruzione; week-long stays in Cancun, Venice and Rome; and a variety of packages of theater, dining, cruise, casino visits, and weekend getaways at a variety of Boston hotels.
