Respected Financial Expert and Boston University Alumnus Receives Silver Shingle Alumni Award

Boston, MA — Boston University’s School of Law will present Robert J. Glovsky, a nationally renowned financial planner, with this year’s Silver Shingle Alumni Award. Glovsky receives the award at a ceremony on April 19th at the Four Seasons Hotel in Boston.

Since 1967, the School of Law has presented the Silver Shingle Award to distinguished alumni. Honorees are selected “in recognition of notable contributions to the legal profession, leadership within the community, unfailing service to the School of Law, and superlative contributions to society.”

Glovsky is president of Mintz Levin Financial Advisors, a subsidiary of the Boston law firm of Mintz, Levin, Cohn, Ferris, Glovsky, and Popeo, P.C., specializing in financial planning and investment advisory services for high net worth individuals. After graduating from Dartmouth College, Glovsky received his J.D. and his master’s degree in taxation from Boston University’s School of Law. Glovsky is a Certified Financial PlannerTM (CFPTM) practitioner who is a former president of Boston University’s Law School Alumni Association. Currently, he serves as the director of Boston University’s Program for Financial Planners, one of the largest CFPTM Board-registered programs in the nation, and as a member of the Law School Alumni Association’s executive committee.

He is heard five days a week hosting ‘The Bob Glovsky Show’ on Business 1060 AM WBIX. Mutual Fund Magazine, in their inaugural edition, named Glovsky as one of the top financial planners in the nation. He has also appeared in Worth magazine’s list of top financial planners five times, as well as the listings and rankings in Financial Planning magazine. ** CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER TM and CFPTM marks are certification marks owned by the Certified Financial Planner Board of Standards, Inc. These marks are awarded to individuals who successfully complete the CFP Board’s initial and ongoing certification requirements.
