(Boston) — Martin Yan, of the “Yan Can Cook” television show, will be doing presentation cooking and acting as a guest chef in the Boston University Faculty & Staff Dining Room and the school’s five residence halls on Tuesday, March 28. The Faculty & Staff Dining Room presentation is open to the general public.
Part of BU’s guest chef series, Yan’s appearance will provide an interactive experience in which attendees can watch him cook, ask questions, and try his dishes.

He will prepare meals in the Faculty & Staff Dining Room from 12:00 – 1:00 p.m., the West Campus dining hall from 4:00 – 4:45 p.m., Myles Standish from 5:00 – 5:30 p.m., Shelton from 5:45 – 6:15 p.m., Towers from 6:30 – 7:00 p.m., and Warren Towers from 7:15 – 8:00 p.m.
Master Chef Martin Yan is world renowned for his humorous television show but is also a well known restaurant consultant, culinary teacher, and cookbook author. From his humble beginning in China, he has gone on to become the oft awarded host of more than 1,750 cooking shows, reaching millions of people in more than 76 countries.
The Faculty & Staff Dining Room is at 775 Commonwealth Avenue, Boston, on the 5th floor of the George Sherman Union.
