(Boston, Mass.) — An exhibition of prints by alumni, faculty, and students at the Boston University School for the Arts and the Rhode Island School of Design will be on exhibition at Boston University’s Sherman Gallery January 18 – February 17, 2000. It will travel to the Rhode Island School of Design’s Sol Koffler and Benson Hall Galleries where it will be shown February 20 – March 4. Taken from the French, bon á tirer is a technical term used by printmakers to indicate the final proof of a print, the standard against which all others in the edition are judged. The exhibition includes more than 66 prints in a variety of media by both established and emerging artists associated with the two schools. Among the participants are Deborah Cornell and John Walker from Boston University and Yvonne Jacquette, Sam Gilliam, and Andrew Raftery from RISD.
