Henry Kissinger — BU Commencement Speaker — To Be Available by Satellite, Web, and in Person

Former Secretary of State Henry Kissinger will hold a brief press availability at Boston University Sunday morning, May 23. Later he will deliver the main address during the 126th Boston University Commencement exercises, where more than 5,400 graduates will receive degrees and 20,000 guests are expected to attend. A video news release and digital photos will be available to the media Sunday afternoon.
Kissinger Press Availability: The press availability will begin promptly at 9:45 a.m. in the Media Room in Rich Hall on Babcock Street. Reserved media parking is available in the Babcock Street lot. For credentials sign-in at the Press Tent at the Babcock Street entrance to Nickerson Field. This is the only time Dr. Kissinger will be available to the media while at BU for commencement.
Satellite uplink of video news release: A video news release from Boston University’s commencement ceremony featuring key elements of Dr. Kissinger’s address will be available between 4:15 p.m. and 4:45 p.m. EDT. The VNR will consist of portions of Dr. Kissinger’s address, the awarding of honorary degrees to Dr. Kissinger and actress and alumna Geena Davis, and other commencement footage. The satellite feed can be accessed on SBS6, Transponder 2, Ku Band Satellite, received vertically at 11749 MHz, from 4:15 p.m. until 4:45 p.m. EDT, May 23, 1999. The VNR will be broadcast at least three times during that period.
Digital photographs: Digital photos of Dr. Kissinger and Geena Davis will be posted on line no later than 2 p.m. EDT.
