TO APPLY TO THE PROGRAM IN NEUROSCIENCE
Information, deadlines,
and Graduate Student Funding
Applications for Fall 2010 admission
should be submitted by
December 15, 2009 for full consideration. Applications should be complete at that time and should include all supporting documents.
Apply online or request materials. from the Graduate School of Arts
and Sciences:
Full financial support is available to all incoming PhD students;
no financial aid application is necessary. Women and minorities
who are U.S. citizens are encouraged to apply.
Prospective students are expected to have strong undergraduate
backgrounds in mathematics, biology, computer science, psychology
and/or the physical sciences. Applicants are required to submit
official scores of the general GRE, three letters of recommendation,
official transcripts, and a statement of purpose. Applicants whose
native language is not English are also required to submit official
results of the TOEFL.
Submitted applications should be clearly labeled "Program
in Neuroscience" in the department line. Applicants are encouraged
to list their research/faculty interests in their statement of purpose.

Graduate Student
Funding
All students who are accepted into the Program in Neuroscience
PhD program will receive tuition waivers and stipends.
There is an externally funded training grant for the Program
in Neuroscience from the National
Institutes of Health.
In addition, there are a variety of Research and Teaching Fellowships
offered through the University as well as Graduate Research Fellowships
on faculty grants.
