Neuroscience & BU Hub

All freshmen Neuroscience majors entering Boston University in or after Fall 2018 must complete the Neuroscience course requirements (17 courses), BU Hub requirements (26 units fulfilled through 10-12 courses), and CAS foreign language requirements (fourth semester proficiency). The BU Hub comprises of six broad capacities. Each capacity contains more specific areas (for example, the capacity “Scientific and Social Inquiry” contains the areas “Scientific Inquiry I”, “Scientific Inquiry II”, and “Scientific or Social Inquiry II”. You must complete 1-2 units in each area (as indicated below). For example, under the capacity “Diversity, Civic Engagement, and Global Citizenship”, you must complete two units in the area “Global Citizenship and Intercultural Literacy”. This means you must take two courses that have been approved towards this particular Hub area. Note that any course approved for the BU Hub can count towards up to 3 Hub areas.
