Neuroscience Update – July 28, 2017

Hello neuroscience majors,

To those of you who are new to the major, welcome!

Here’s your last update of July! There are a lot of notes in this update; many of them may be important to you, so please read through this email carefully, and let me know if you have any questions.
1) Volunteer Opportunity – 12 volunteers needed

Alumni Relations is hosting their annual event called Alumni College for former BU students. The theme for this year’s Alumni College is Mind, Brain, and Behavior, so one of the events is having about six BRAIN day activities set up in the lobby of CILSE. They are looking for volunteers to set up and demonstrate the stations, just as they were at BRAIN day. The event is on Friday, September 15 from about 2-3:30pm, so we would be looking for volunteers from about 1pm-4pm to showcase the activities and help set up. The link to sign up for this event is here. Even if you’re only available for half the session, that’s fine!

2) Seniors: Intent to Graduate

Last week, I sent the Intent to Graduate document specifically for neuroscience majors, but it turns out that you do not have to fill it out. What you do have to complete is the Intent to Graduate form on the CAS Advising website here.

3) Advisors

For those of you who had Liz Tingley as your advisor, your new advisor should now show up on StudentLink as Shoai Hattori. Please go onto StudentLink -> Academics -> Academic Advising to see if you have the correct advisor assigned to you. If you think there’s an issue with your advisor, fill out this form here.
