Research Summary
I have worked as an electron microscopist for more than 20 years in various research fields, such as dental, pathological and neuroanatomical. Currently, I am working with colleagues to constantly improve brain tissue ultrastructure in several projects for Dr. Helen Barbas. I also maintain the TEM and Neurochemistry labs, teach EM techniques (including “BioWave” microwave tissue processing), and relentlessly try to unravel all the knotty little problems in serial thin section electron microscopy.
