Multi-center, double-blind, placebo-controlled study to assess the efficacy (symptomatology) and safety of two doses of extended release metoprolol succinate (Toprol-XL) tablets, 50mg (low dose) and 200mg (high dose), in reversing cardiac remodeling in asymptomatic heart failure heart failure patients (NYHA I) with left ventricular systolic dysfunction (LVEF < 40%) as compared to placebo.
