Associate Professor of Music (Musicology), Boston University
The Department of Musicology and Ethnomusicology at Boston University invites applications for the position of Associate Professor of Music (Historical Musicology).

We seek a versatile, collegial teacher and scholar for a distinguished and friendly community of professors and graduate students. Duties include teaching at both the graduate and undergraduate level, both on-campus and online; serving on departmental, school, college, and university committees; supervising dissertations of Master’s, DMA, and PhD candidates; and examining candidates for both doctoral degrees. Applicants must possess a long-held PhD, associate professor status in current position, a rich publication record, prominence in the field of historical musicology, and a distinguished record of teaching at the graduate and undergraduate level.
The Department of Musicology and Ethnomusicology is in the School of Music at the College of Fine Arts. Faculty members also serve in the College and Graduate School of Arts and Sciences. The Department boasts a distinguished faculty, with a new and expanding curriculum and dedicated and accomplished students. Review of applications will begin November 1, 2012.
