Matthew Brown
Matthew Brown completed his graduate studies at Simmons College where he received an M.L.S. in archive management and an M.A. in history. His master’s thesis is titled, “Presidential Proclamations of Emergency, Government Propaganda Posters, and Changing Proletarian Cultures of Materialism between 1914 and 1961.” Brown received his B.A. in Judaic studies from the University of Massachusetts Amherst and also studied at Humboldt-Universitat zu Berlin, Germany. Prior to joining the Howard Gotlieb Archival Research Center, he worked on the “Images of the Antislavery Movement in Massachusetts” project at the Massachusetts Historical Society.
