
Christine King Farris and Nikki Giovanni Honored at Boston University
Boston – Christine King Farris, MLK’s only surviving sibling, was named the first Martin Luther King, Jr. Fellow by the Howard Gotlieb Archival Research Center on April 3 in recognition of her dedicated work for equality and social justice. Distinguished poet Nikki Giovanni was named the first Coretta Scott King Fellow. Prof. Giovanni gave a powerful introduction to Prof. Farris, who presented the inaugural Martin Luther King, Jr. Leadership Lecture.
