Sophiya is a university lecturer at Boston University. Her extensive experience in teaching has enabled her to successfully create an interactive and multimedia approach toward teaching/learning Persian.

She is also a Master’s candidate in a dual program of applied communication research and international relations. Her research interests are in quantifying the role of new digital technologies on individual and collective identities and behavior as well as public diplomacy. Her interests in the field of communication research are communication theory, measurement techniques, and data analysis.

Sophiya loves teaching and has been teaching English, French, and Persian at Boston University. She is a news buff and a devout yogi.
