Professor Mustafa's research interests include: contemporary works by Arab writers, modern and contemporary Irish literature, and American-Jewish fiction. His publications include: A Century of Irish Drama: Widening the Stage, edited with Stephen Watt and Eileen Morgan (2000); Seventeenth-Century English Poetry: An Introductory Course (1988); and articles in Arabic on Bernard Malamud, Saul Bellow, Chaim Potok, Leon Uris, and others (1977-82). He teaches courses in the CAS Writing Program, beginning Arabic, contemporary Arab literature, and Islamic literatures.
