Beate Alhadeff has an MLitt from the University of Oxford, England. Her thesis on Modern European Drama was supervised by the eminent critic Terry Eagleton. Prior to that she earned a BA in Comparative Literature from the University of East Anglia at Norwich, England. At UEA she was Regensburg University’s exchange student.  Ms. Alhadeff started teaching at BU in 1992, headed its German language program from 2008 till 2015 and developed a variety of intermediate and advanced courses, including classes on film, business, history, art and classical music.  She has also taught Spanish, which she learned while living in Buenos Aires.
