Master of Science in Project Management
Overview
The Master of Science in Project Management (MSPM) provides business
leaders with the skills they need to formulate and execute the
best possible response to project, communication, and risk management.
The MSPM curriculum is designed to complement the four courses
of the
Graduate Certificate in Project Management, which constitute
the core curriculum of the master’s degree. Students who have
earned the Graduate Certificate in Project Management may transfer
those credits
directly toward the master’s degree. Students may complete the
four core courses in either online or in-class formats before
completing the eight online courses which fulfill the remaining
requirements for
the MSPM.
The MSPM serves as excellent preparation for the Project Management
Professional (PMP®) certification exam offered by the Project
Management Institute. An internationally recognized credential, PMP® certification
will further strengthen a student’s qualifications by demonstrating
expertise in project management.
Applicants to the MSPM who have already passed the Project Management
Institute’s PMP® Certification Examination may be eligible
to receive a course waiver for MET AD 642. Contact the local field
office for more information.
Coursework for the MSPM is offered online or in a unique blended format
that combines classroom and online instruction for maximized
flexibility. It is possible to complete the MSPM entirely in an online
format.
Coursework for the MSPM can be completed in approximately 24 months.
