Advanced Materials Process Control Laboratory
The Advanced Materials Process Control Laboratory has a number of ongoing projects that provide undergraduates an opportunity to obtain hands on research experience.

Projects include:

• Control of plasma deposition for engineered coatings: turbines and fuel cell applications
• Real-time control for E-beam deposition optical coatings
• Development of advanced control strategies for electrospinning of nanofibers

Research work includes development and implementation of advanced control strategies, modeling of process physics to develop insight into design of control structure, and experimental verification of proposed strategies. Undergraduates work as part of a team to tackle real engineering problems spanning design, implementation, and theory.
