Genome scale metabolic analysis
The metabolic network is the factory of the cell. Through several hundreds of chemical reactions, it takes nutrients from the media and produces all the molecules necessary for the growth and survival of the cell. Using tools from convex analysis, we are working on characterizing essentiality of nutrients, metabolites, and chemical reactions.

Analysis of gene networks
A set of genes, together with their products and other species involved in the regulation of gene expression form a gene network. Using tools from control theory and theory of computation, we develop tools and software packages for analysis of such networks.

Motion planning and control of robotic swarms
A robotic swarm is a large team of small and inexpensive ground, air, or underwater vehicles with limited communication and computation capabilities. By using tools from geometric control and theory of
computation, we work on developing specification languages and
computational tools for planning and control of robotic swarms.
