Short Biography of Dr. James Mills
Dr. Mills received a BSEE from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, a MSEE and Ph.D. from the University of Notre Dame, and an MBA from the MIT Sloan Fellows program. From 1983-2003, he was employed by Tellabs Operations, Inc. where he established the Cambridge, MA office of the Tellabs Research Center as a Research Fellow and Director of Research. From 1987 to 1993, Jim was an adjunct faculty member at the University of Notre Dame where he taught several courses and directed graduate work. He was a visiting scientist and research associate at MIT Laboratory for Information and Decision Systems (LIDS) from 1995 through 2003. He has actively participated in Committee T1 Telecommunications and IEEE 802. His research interests include many areas of wireline and wireless communications and he was most recently investigating resilient network architectures and data networking for delivery of business services.
