Short Biography of Mr. Peter Gould
Mr. Peter Gould is Director for the Mechanical Design Center for Raytheon Integrated Defense Systems (IDS) Engineering. In this role he is responsible for all phases of the mechanical engineering design cycle including design, development, test and manufacture of all major defense programs in IDS.
Previously Peter was the manager of the Antenna Systems Department within the Mechanical and Materials Engineering Laboratory supporting programs including XBR, SPY-3, THAAD, JLENs, Seasparrow and VSR. Prior to his role as Department Manager, Peter was the section manager of the Antenna Structures Section within the Antenna Systems Department where he also served as lead mechanical engineer for GBR-TMD / THAAD Dem-Val and UOE systems, SPY-3 Program capture, and multiple advanced technology programs. Peter was the lead mechanical engineer for the Enhanced MILSTAR ABNCP Radome, CART, TARTAR Blk 3 and Seasparrow MK48 Vertical Launch System.
Peter graduated from Worcester Polytechnic Institute in 1979; Peter joined Raytheon in 1975 having been placed with the company as a recipient of the Armed Forces Communications and Electronics Association (AFCEA) Fellowship and has been with the company since that time. Peter is a 2001 Excellence in Technology Distinguished Award winner for his work on the SPY-3 Array and was elected an Engineering Fellow in 2002.
Peter lives in Mendon with his wife Mary and his two daughters, Kathryn and Amelia.
