Short Biography of Sudhir Nunes

Sudhir Nunes is an investment manager at the Massachusetts Renewable Energy Trust and a founding co-chair of the TiE Boston Energy and Cleantech SIG. At the Trust, Sudhir focuses on providing assistance to early and expansion stage renewable energy companies, improving access to international renewable energy markets for IP, technology, manufacturing and products for Massachusetts companies, and attracting international renewable energy companies to Massachusetts. In his role at the Energy and Cleantech SIG, Sudhir is actively involved in connecting energy and cleantech entrepreneurs, investors and professionals between the US, Europe and India.

Sudhir has been actively involved with energy innovation for over 10 years. He founded Orca Energy, an integration and distribution startup in Europe focused on breakthrough applications of new energy storage technology. Prior to that he assessed commercial opportunities in India for Intelligent Energy, a London-based fuel cell company, and designed components for GE’s commercial aircraft engines. These varied experiences have provided Sudhir with a broad perspective on energy technology based companies.

Sudhir holds an MS degree in Mechanical Engineering from Stanford University and an MBA from IESE Business School in Barcelona. He currently resides in Cambridge, Massachusetts.
