Short Biography of Jack Newman

Jack Newman is VP, Research, co-founder and Director at Amyris Biotechnologies. Jack Newman has over a decade of research experience in bacterial physiology and genetics. He has published in leading journals in Molecular Biology and Biotechnology and co-authored the ground-breaking work that led to the technology of microbial terpene production. Dr Newman received his doctorate from the University of Wisconsin, Madison, in the field of microbial physiology and gene regulation. Dr. Newman also holds a B.A. from the University of California, Berkeley, in Molecular and Cellular Biology.
