Short Biography of Tony Lent
Mr. Lent is a Partner and co-founder of U.S. Renewables Group, and is based in New York. Mr. Lent has been a clean technology and renewable energy investment banker and entrepreneur for more than 15 years. From 1994 – 2002, he co-founded and led EA Capital, a boutique investment bank in the clean energy space. EA Capital worked on renewable technology commercialization and deployment with corporate strategic investors like Duke Energy, PacifiCorp and American Electric Power Company, Inc. (“AEP”) (NYSE: AEP), as well as venture stage firms introducing new technologies. Mr. Lent worked extensively in landfill methane, biomass, wind, and low-head hydroelectric. Mr. Lent has also worked as an advisor to the National Renewable Energy Lab, DOE, EPA, Duke Energy, AEP, and World Bank’s Prototype Carbon Fund. Mr. Lent holds an MBA with an emphasis in technology commercialization and strategy from the Haas School of Business at the University of California, Berkeley, and a BS in Biology from Tufts University.
