Short Biography of Tabith Crawford
Tabitha Crawford is Senior Vice President of Sustainability & Innovation for Actus Lend Lease—part of one of the largest real estate development firms globally. Responsible for integrating green technologies into community development and partnering with the academic community to study conservation techniques, Tabitha worked with the Department of Energy to reshape residential utilities billing policies for the U.S. Army’s Residential Communities Initiative. She created the “SYNERGY” program in 2004 now included in the Mayoral Climate Exchange in 300+ cities worldwide.
Tabitha was chosen for the Climate Project with former Vice President and Nobel Prize nominee Al Gore, and is active on the Presidential Action Committee for Climate Change. As CEO of Military Assistance Company, she developed the only direct link to the Department of Defense’s payroll systems. This historical first enabled cash flow for privatization of military housing. While involved in the Society of Military Comptrollers, Tabitha handled strategic relationships with clients including: AAFES, Household International, Mitsubishi, Daimler-Chrysler, and GE Capital.
Tabitha also served as Vice President for FKNC where she was nominated for a Naval Design Award by the Public Private Partnership Program for housing. She developed one of the first web-based electronic payment systems for consumer use in the US and became an instructor on leveraging technology for the Professional Housing Management Association.
Tabitha has a Bachelors in Business Administration (University of Louisville), a Masters in Business Administration (Fairfield University), and a Masters in Bank Management (Graduate School of Retail Bank Management held at the University of Virginia). Ms. Crawford served on the Board of Directors for the Government Electronics Industry Association as well as the Government Advisory Board for the National Automated Clearing House Association.
Tabitha was made an Honorary Kentucky Colonel by Governor Ernie Fletcher in 2004 for her community and state involvement.
