Bob has been involved with various aspects of the Energy Business for more than 25 years.  His experiences have included geophysical seismic acquisition design, seismic imaging, application development, geophysical graphics systems development, as well as work on various standards bodies related to the Oil and Gas Sector.

Bob joined the Chief Technology Office of BP in 2002 as Senior Technology Consultant.  The Chief Technology Office is accountable for identifying new technologies that can have a significant impact and seeing that they are transferred into the business.  In this role Bob splits his time between several technology areas; currently those areas include wireless measurement, mobility solutions, and collaboration technologies.   Co-located with the Exploration groups in Houston Bob is involved with many of their initiatives including Visualization, and the Field of the Future program.  With any time left after keeping up with two teenage children Bob tries to spend time on tropical gardening, bicycling, and wheel thrown pottery.
