Short Biography of Dr. Stefan G. Hild
Dr. Stefan G Hild is the Senior Manager of the Responsive Enterprise
Solutions department, IBM Research Division (Yorktown Heights, NY),
where his team is engaged in developing infrastructure components for
sensor networks, from messaging, data aggregation, to business process
integration. He held positions at the IBM Scientific Center, Heidelberg,
Germany, and at the IBM Hursley Development Laboratory, England, before
joining the IBM Research Division in 1997 in Zurich, Switzerland, where
he worked on mobile internet technologies. After a one-year assignment
in the IBM TJ Watson Research Center in New York he re-joined the
laboratory in Zurich in the autumn of 2001 to manage the e-business
research group. In 2003, Stefan returned to New York, assuming his
present assignment. Stefan has presented at and published in numerous
conferences, journals and trade magazines. He holds doctorate and
undergraduate degrees in computer science from the University of
Cambridge, England, and the University of London, respectively.
