The Program Planning Sheets will help guide your selection of coursework for the MS option you have chosen to pursue. There is a Program Planning Sheet available for each of the three possible MS options:

On the Program Planning Sheet, courses are distributed among five curricular sub-elements:
Background Studies
Master's Core
Concentration Area
Electives
Capstone
A maximum of two courses below the 500-level will be allowed for the degree.

Students in the MS program in Manufacturing Engineering focus their coursework in one of three concentration areas. Each consists of 36 credit hours (typically nine courses), of which no less than 28 credits must be earned at Boston University and at least 20 credits are from technically oriented engineering courses. A cumulative grade point average of at least 3.00 (B) is required for all courses taken at Boston University and for all courses offered for the degree.
