Are you interested in a full scholarship and full-time employment?
Students of information security at Boston University’s Metropolitan College are invited to apply for a full Department of Defense (DoD) Information Assurance Scholarship. Recipients benefit from employment opportunities in the field of information security at the DoD.
Established by the National Defense Authorization Act for 2001 (Public Law 106-398), the Information Assurance Scholarship is available only to students at designated National Centers of Academic Excellence in Information Assurance Education (CAE/IAE) and Centers of Academic Excellence–Research (CAE-R).
To qualify for the Information Assurance Scholarship, students:
During breaks in their academic studies, Information Assurance Scholars will receive progressive, hands-on experience in information security internships. In return, scholars must agree to some restrictions and obligations regarding curriculum, GPA, and pre- and post-program employment.
If all conditions are met, upon graduation Information Assurance Scholars work as civilian employees at the Department of Defense, one year for each year of scholarship. Jobs are information security related, and you’ll have an opportunity to work with leading-edge technologies and the most sophisticated infrastructures. After your service, you may be offered a full-time permanent civilian position with the Department of Defense.
