Prospective students are invited to drop in anytime from noon-1 p.m. to meet with Computer Science Department faculty and learn about the MS in Computer Science offered at North Campus and about the degrees and certificates offered in Boston, online, and through blended learning. Lunch will be provided.

The Growing Influence of Mobile Computing
Worldwide penetration of mobile devices, including cell phones, is beginning to exceed the 50% mark. The iPhone illustrates the prediction that mobile devices will become a major computing platform of the future. This phenomenon and the notion of location-aware computing will be covered.
Making, Breaking Ciphers
In this talk, the most widely used ciphers will be considered and strong and weak points of their implementation discussed.
