Department of Arts Administration at Boston University's Metropolitan College If you’re interested in a career in arts administration—in the visual or performing arts, or in arts service organizations in the public and private sector—there are many rewards awaiting you—and many challenges as well. In difficult economic times, when audiences have many demands on their attention and pocketbooks, arts organizations need leaders who can effectively build audiences and community support without compromising the excellence of the artistic process and product.

The Department of Arts Administration at MET will give you the skills and training necessary to help arts organizations survive and thrive in the 21st century. You’ll study in small interactive classes with instructors who are successful arts administrators. Courses emphasize excellence, creativity, economic problem solving, internationalism and new technologies.
