Add/Drop/Withdrawal

Adding a Course

After you have registered for your classes, course changes can be made on the Student Link for eligible courses/students, or by using a Add/Drop Form.

If you wish to register for a course that is already full, you must obtain the instructor’s permission and signature on the Add/Drop Form. No signature is required for classes with open seats, unless it is noted on the Student Link that permission is required. Submit your signed Add/Drop Form to:

Dropping a Course

To drop a course or courses, you must complete the Add/Drop Form. Upon receipt of this form, the Office of the University Registrar will adjust your account according to the Refund Policy Dates.

Spring 2013 Drop/Withdrawal Refund Policy Dates

Prior to January 16, 2013 100% of tuition and fees
January 16 – 30, 2013 100% of tuition only
January 31 – February 13, 2013 50% of tuition only
As of February 14, 2013 No refund

Fall 2013 Drop/Withdrawal Refund Policy Dates

Prior to September 3, 2013 100% of tuition and fees
September 3 – 16 , 2013 100% of tuition only
September 17  - 30 , 2013 50% of tuition only
As of October 1, 2013 No refund

These dates apply to Metropolitan College students only.

Online students should visit Boston University Distance Education for important dates.

Withdrawing from All Courses

To drop your total course load, you must complete the Withdrawal/Leave of Absence Form and submit it to:
