Perkins Awards Winners Profiled in BU Today
BU Today took a look at this year's winners of the John S.
Award for Excellence in Graduate Study
Any program with 10 or more students graduating with a master’s degree (January and May graduates only) is invited to nominate an outstanding graduate student who meets the following criteria, for an Award for Excellence in Graduate Study.
Criteria
- Has an excellent GPA
- Has made a significant contribution to the life of the department and/or the College
- Is expected to make long-term contributions to chosen field and/or has achieved his/her education under unusual circumstances or has overcome substantial obstacles to do so (human interest story)
- MUST BE PRESENT AT MET’S COMMENCEMENT CEREMONY ON MAY 21.
Please e-mail Assistant Dean Sonia Parker and copy Ruth Ciolfi with the person’s name, the degree, GPA, and one paragraph (150 word max) with relevant information about the student to be used in the citation at the graduation ceremony.
The deadline for all nominations is Friday April 1, 2011.
