Acambis

I had a great experience taking the MET Project Management Graduate Certificate courses here at Acambis’ Cambridge, MA offices. The course material provides significant tools that I have used to improve the quality of my work in several ways. In particular, a heightened awareness of communications needs and techniques, along with core skills like duration and cost estimating (to name just a few), have had immediate impact on the job. I recommend this course to anyone interested in Project Management, and also to functional managers seeking to hone their skills and get a deeper understanding of the project-driven world in which we work.

United TechnologiesBoston University’s Metropolitan College Online Project Management Program is wonderful. The structure of the program makes it very easy to participate in the classroom and create lasting friendships and networks among peers. The diversity of the participating students and their real world experience further adds value to the program. The Program Professors, Coordinators, and Facilitators are excellent as they are available for even the smallest questions. The material that is covered is very relevant and incorporates everyday real-world examples. Enrolling in this program has allowed my career to grow into the dynamic and challenging field that is Project Management. I would strongly recommend this Program to anyone who is interested in the Project Management.

United TechnologiesMy experience so far in Boston University's online MS in Project Management program has been fantastic. The course content is directly applicable to my current role as a Project Engineer at Pratt & Whitney, and the coursework has well complemented my learning experiences at work. One of the greatest assets of the program is the breadth of experience among the students enrolled. The flexibility of an online program creates the opportunity to learn a great deal from classmates' varied experiences in vastly different industries around the world. The faculty and course facilitators strive to bring practical experience into the academic environment through both the discussion topics and lectures, and they encourage the sharing of professional experiences among their students. I highly recommend Boston University's online MS in Project Management to other professionals looking for a way to expand on their experience in the field of project management-- or to those looking to begin a career in project management.

Metropolitan CollegeThe environment for teaching in a corporate setting allows theoretical models to be quickly made real. Using real life situations allows the scenario to be applied and adapted for immediate use by the students. It's about that one real story shared by students, who view it differently at first, analyze it, and are able to gain great new insights from it that propel them to the next level. The environment foresters the sharing which in turn creates a team atmosphere among the students, which is some cases exist long after the class has ended.

Metropolitan CollegeAs an alumnus of Boston University Metropolitan College (MET 1978) and a Hamilton Sundstrand executive, (a division of United Technologies Corporation), I am pleased to hear that you are considering Boston University Metropolitan College as a preferred provider for professional development to your employees in the area of project management.

Metropolitan College began its Corporate Partnership with United Technologies in July 2005 and has grown the partnership from project management to include five online programs through the UTC Employee Scholar Program. Of these programs, the Graduate Certificate and Master of Science in Project Management stand out as particularly relevant to UTC’s role as a technology leader. The Boston University Project Management programs provide a comprehensive study of the field from project initiation through closing, and prepare students to take the Project Management Professional (PMP®) certification exam.

In my role at Hamilton Sundstrand, a global supplier of advanced space, aerospace, and industrial technology, I rely on my leadership team to execute our business to the highest standards of quality, performance, and cost effectiveness. The Boston University Partnership is producing graduates in Project Management who are prepared to meet these standards.
