
General Admissions Requirements
In order to be considered for the Graduate Certificate in Project Management,
applicants must have the equivalent of a U.S. bachelor’s degree
from an accredited college or university. International students for
whom English is not a first language must submit the results of the
Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL). For current information
on the TOEFL examination, please visit www.ets.org/toefl.
Students are expected to show good writing skills and strong professional
reasons for pursuing this program. The case study method is based on
interactive teaching, which necessitates a great deal of class participation.

Good Academic Standing
Students admitted to the Project Management Certificate Program must
maintain an overall grade point average of 3.0 in each course to be
in good academic standing and to graduate from the certificate program.
No grade lower than B- may be used toward graduation requirements at
Boston University. Faculty will work with students throughout the program
to make certain that students are aware of their academic progress and
any potential deficiencies.

Course Waivers for DAU or PMP® certification
Some project management experiences and professional certifications,
such as PMP®, may qualify you to waive one course in the online
Master of Science Degree in Project Management. Also, if you have taken
courses from the Defense Acquisition University (DAU), please ask your
advisor for information, and submit proof of completion with your application
to the address above.
Costs
Online
As of Spring 2008, tuition is $2,660 per Boston University Metropolitan
College online graduate course, plus a $40 registration fee each semester.
Online courses are also assessed a $200 technology fee per course.
On-base
As of Fall 2007, active duty military, their dependents and DoD employees/contractors
are eligible for a discounted tuition rate of $1,980 per Boston University
Metropolitan College on-base classroom-based graduate course, plus a
$40 registration fee each semester.
