Distinguished Boston University faculty will present a comprehensive program of case studies and project simulations that addresses the methodologies of financial negotiations, acquisition management, and the principles of effective leadership.
Boston University Metropolitan College’s 4-course Graduate Certificate
for Acquisition Managers is only open to active duty military personnel
and their dependents, and Department of Defense (DoD) employees or
contractors. Those who have earned a bachelor's degree from a regionally
accredited college or university are encouraged to apply. Certain DAU
courses may provide a course waiver in this graduate program.
Notes:
The Graduate Certificate for Acquisition Managers comprises 40% of
the course requirements for the Master of Science in Business Administration
(MSBA) that is also offered at a number of military bases. The courses
in the Graduate Certificate for Acquisition Managers may be used to
meet the requirements for the Defense Acquisition Workforce
Improvement Act (DAWIA). The four graduate courses in this certificate
integrate key content in contracting management, program management,
financial management and negotiation skills.
Courses for the Graduate Certificate in Acquisition Management are
offered on Tuesday and Thursday evenings from 17:30 hours to 20:30
hours.
* Course waiver options for some project management educational experiences are available for this program. Please contact Gerry Keegan at gkeegan@bu.edu or call 781-377-3454 for details.
