Course waivers are now available for those who have successfully completed
the non-credit Certified Financial Planner certificate at Boston University’s
Center for Professional Education, and have earned the CFP® certification.

Boston University’s Metropolitan College now offers you the opportunity
to earn the 12-course, Master of Science in Banking and Financial Services
Management (MSBFM) online. And, those who have successfully
completed the BU Financial Planning Certificate Program—and
have earned the CFP® certification—are eligible for two course
waivers in this program.
Who is this program for?
The online Master of Science in Banking and Financial Services Management
is designed for business leaders in the Banking and Financial Services
arena. The MSBFM equips students with the skills they need to gain
an edge over others in the field. This degree, from a
world-renowned University, blends the knowledge and skills needed to
excel in banking and finance with the highest expectations of a graduate
business degree.

Waivers may only be applied to two of the specific finance courses -
please see course descriptions for details.

Those eligible for the waivers will be required to produce verification
of having successfully passed the CFP® Certification Examination.

Those who apply for and receive the 2 course waivers will take 10 courses
over 5 semesters. Students take one course at a time, with a new course
beginning every 7 weeks. 2 courses are offered consecutively each semester.
All courses
are offered online.
Although applications are reviewed on a rolling admissions basis,
only students admitted into the Online Master of Science in Banking
and Financial
Services Management program are eligible to register for online
graduate courses in this program.
