International Frequently Asked Questions
Q. Can international students attend Metropolitan
College?
A. International students are welcome at Metropolitan College,
and constitute a significant portion of the student population in a number
of programs. To take courses or to gain admission to a degree program,
international students need to follow some specific guidelines. To apply
for an undergraduate degree program, international students must
apply through the Boston
University Office of International Admissions (IA). To apply to a
graduate degree program, international students should apply directly
to the department or program. For visa information and additional application
requirements, please contact the International
Students and Scholars Office (ISSO).
Q. If I am an international student do I have to
attend school full time?
A. Yes. All international students are required by law to attend school
full time with the exception of your final semester, when you may attend
part time if needed.
Q. How do I apply for an undergraduate degree program?
A. All undergraduate international applicants must contact the Boston
University Office of Undergraduate Student Services.
This office coordinates the application process for all international
students at Boston University. Please contact an international
student advisor at 617-353-4492 or intadmis@bu.edu
in order to discuss your eligibility for application.
Q. How do I apply for a graduate program?
A. International students may apply to graduate
programs directly through the academic department to which they seek
admission. However, applicants should contact the International
Student and Scholar Office for additional requirements and visa arrangements,
and should allow for additional processing time. International applicants
are required to submit the following documentation:

6. Notarized English translations of all documents not in English.
In certain cases, the Admissions Committee may request an applicant to
submit official scores from the Graduate Record Exam (GRE) or the Graduate
Management Admissions Test (GMAT).
