Computer Networks Graduate Certificate

Computer networking is a high-growth industry requiring specialized skills and knowledge. The Graduate Certificate in Computer Networks helps students establish a firm understanding of the fundamental concepts of data communications and computer networking and builds upon this foundation in the areas of local area networking, network management and security, as well as programming in the TCP/IP environment.

Transfer of Credits to Degree Programs

Academic credits earned toward the Graduate Certificate in Computer Networks may be applicable to a Master of Science Degree in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, or Telecommunication. Please contact us for details.

Requirements

A total of 16 credits are required.

Prerequisites

Applicants to the program are required to have a bachelor’s degree and programming experience equivalent to MET CS 201 or MET CS 231 or MET CS 232, or consent of instructor. Some courses may have additional prerequisites.

  • MET CS 675 Operating Systems Design and Implementation
  • MET TC 685 Network Management
