| Is spirituality an inherent feature of human nature? Is religion relevant to my personal life? What do I consider to be divine? Does religion relieve and/or abet human suffering? Students will explore these personal questions using sources in psychology, culture and religion, including Freud, Jung, James and Du Bois. Spiritual autobiographers such as St. Augustine, Elie Wiesel, Malcolm X and Malidoma Patrice Some will also provide valuable contributions to our examination of the role of religion in our personal lives. (4 cr.)
