MET PL 202 Legal Writing

Provides an understanding of the unique language of the law with emphasis on clear and concise legal writing. The elements of persuasive and informative writing styles will be examined as students analyze and draft various legal documents, case briefs, and pleadings. (4 cr.)


MET PL 210 Torts

This course deals with civil wrongs and the remedies for those wrongs. Cases discussed involve the major torts of negligence, trespass, defamation, product liability, and wrongful death. The course seeks to strengthen and refine analytical ability and skill in the application of legal principles to the solution of legal problems. (4 cr.)


MET PL 310 Corporate Law

Provides a foundation in business law and a comparative analysis of various business entities, with an emphasis on business corporations. The course covers formation, structure, maintenance, acquisition, merger, divestiture, dissolution of corporate entities, and preparation of the necessary documentation. (4 cr.)
